Nicole Nolwazi Swartz is just an ordinary girl from Newlands East trying to figure out her life. At nineteen, starting university at STADIO Musgrave should be the beginning of something new. Instead, Nicole is learning how to balance lectures and assignments with a home life that has never been easy. Her mother is gone. Her father drinks too much. And most days, Nicole has learned to take care of things herself.
