Ascention

After losing the job that was supposed to keep her life stable, a young woman finds herself oddly calm about the whole thing.

She has no real plan, too much time on her hands, and for once, nothing holding her in place.

So she starts saying yes.

To new places. Late nights. Bad ideas. Men she probably should stay away from, and men she very much does not.

Some choices are worth it. Some are questionable. A few become stories she will absolutely take to the grave.

It gets messy, fun, occasionally reckless, and far more interesting than the life she had before.

And just when she thinks she has nothing left to lose, the universe begins to play differently, giving her things she never knew she wanted.
