The Fifth Ghostwriter

Five talented writers are chosen from thousands of applicants to compete in a mysterious nationwide ghostwriting competition. They are taken to a secluded island and told that only one of them will win a life-changing opportunity: to become the ghostwriter for a celebrated author.

But the competition is not what it seems.

Behind the carefully designed challenges is Grace, a bestselling novelist whose books have made her wealthy and famous but her career has been built on a secret. Her husband, Aldrin, is the true genius behind every book published under her name. He is a brilliant writer, but years of living under Grace's control have taken a toll on him. When Aldrin decides he has had enough and threatens to reveal the truth, Grace makes sure he can't.

After an accident leaves Aldrin paralyzed, Grace needs someone who can finish his unfinished work and continue writing the books that made her famous.

That's why she created the competition.

As the five contestants are pushed through increasingly disturbing tests designed to replicate Aldrin's unique writing voice, one writer stands above the rest: Henry.

But winning the competition may be the beginning of his nightmare.

As Henry is drawn deeper into Grace's world, he begins to uncover disturbing inconsistencies surrounding her marriage, Aldrin's accident, and the novels that made her famous. What begins as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity slowly becomes a deadly game of deception, manipulation, and stolen identities.
