It's almost senior year, and all Lucas Bailey wants is a little success. He has no summer job, the girl he loves thinks his name is Jeffrey, and he's absolutely positively sure his future's been flushed down the toilet-well it would be, if his toilet worked. Things aren't meant to turn to his favor, and Lucas knows it. It's been like that for as long as he could remember-things never going right. But then Tamara Jones comes rushing along, like a whirlwind in disguise, and suddenly, things don't have to. Copyright © 2016 telepathetic

Claire Reynolds had a plan-focus on her career, avoid unnecessary responsibilities, and absolutely not become a parent. But when her best friend Megan ditches the country for a spontaneous Bali getaway with her yoga instructor boyfriend, Claire finds herself the temporary (probably?) guardian of baby Sophie. Determined to keep her life from spiraling into total chaos, Claire enlists the help of her annoyingly handsome (and infuriatingly competent) neighbor, Jake-who, as it turns out, is a pediatric nurse and way too smug about it. Jake offers to help her navigate the wild world of baby wipes, nap schedules, and the horror of assembling a stroller... in exchange for Claire owing him big time. As Claire stumbles through late-night feedings and surprise diaper explosions, she starts to realize two things: 1) Jake might be the most frustratingly perfect guy she's ever met, and 2) maybe, just maybe, she's not as bad at this whole "baby thing" as she thought. Between sleepless nights, unexpected feelings, and one very persistent baby who seems determined to bring them together, Claire has to figure out if she's ready for a new kind of plan-one that might just include love, family, and a whole lot of baby spit-up.
