Always been You

Always Been You 💗

Eillieze Smith and Alex Mathew have been inseparable since the day they were born.

They grew up together, shared secrets, fought over the stupidest things, celebrated every victory, and became each other's safest place. To everyone around them, they're the perfect best friends-the kind of friendship people secretly wish they had.

For Eillieze, Alex is simply Alex. Her annoying best friend, her protector, the person she calls when she needs help, and the one person who can make her smile even on her worst days.

For Alex, Eillieze has always been his person. He knows her habits, her moods, her little fears, and the things she never says out loud. He's always been there to tease her, annoy her, and protect her-even when she insists she doesn't need protecting.

But college begins to change things.

New people enter their lives. New friendships form. And suddenly, the two who have always belonged together begin noticing things they never noticed before-the lingering looks, the jealousy they can't explain, the butterflies that shouldn't be there, and the strange feeling that maybe their friendship isn't as simple as they thought.

Because sometimes, the person you've been searching for your entire life...

has been standing beside you all along.

He was always her best friend.
She was always his home.
Maybe she was always the one.

Always Been You. ❤️
