What happens when a man from the year 3000 falls into a world where superpowers are ordinary?
Jackson Wells was born in the Terran Empire, a civilization thousands of years ahead of modern Earth.
He is not a genius.
He is not a superhuman.
He is not the strongest soldier in his world.
He's a jack-of-all-trades: an engineer, scientist, marksman, fighter, and military-trained problem solver who knows a little about a lot-and has learned how to make those pieces work together.

Stranded in a completely unfamiliar civilization with no identity, no connections, and only the technology he managed to bring with him, Jackson has to figure out how to survive.
Fortunately, he has something nobody in this world has ever seen before.
Terran technology.
And eventually, an AI.
When an ordinary piece of technology called Spartanon B-691 awakens, Jackson discovers that the mysterious device contains something far more advanced than a database.
It contains Parzival
Now Jackson has an AI partner, a body enhanced by nanotechnology, technology centuries beyond anything this world has developed, and one very simple idea:
If this world has heroes...
then maybe a Quirkless man can become one too.
But becoming a hero isn't as simple as building a suit.
There are villains.
Hero agencies.
The Hero Public Safety Commission.
Criminal organizations.
Politics.
Technology that doesn't belong in this century.
And eventually, threats powerful enough to force Jackson to discover exactly what he is capable of without any of his technology at all.
As Jackson's reputation grows, the line between engineer, soldier, and hero begins to disappear.
The world knows him as:
Clockwork.
And the strangest thing about him?
He's still figuring out what that means himself.
