Iris Bennett has always known she is lucky.

She grew up surrounded by people who chose her, in a home where there was always room for one more, five cookies could fix almost anything, and family meant something you built-not something you were simply born into.

Then she goes to Hogwarts.

Ravenclaw isn't where Iris expected to belong, but somewhere between late-night conversations, impossible staircases, quiet corners, new friendships, and a lake that seems to understand her, Hogwarts slowly begins to feel like home too.

But growing up has a way of making simple things complicated.

There are things Iris doesn't understand about herself, things she doesn't remember about where she came from, and things about the people around her that she hasn't learned yet.

For now, though, she's eleven.

She has homework to avoid, friends to find, magic to learn, and an entire castle to get lost in.

And maybe that's enough.
