The Aftermath at Mount Massive
-Cross-post from my Ao3- The Aftermath at Mount Massive is part one of a three part series called Survivors. This part is done. It is a fanfic for the game Outlast, set after the first game/DLC. However, you don't have to know much about the game to jump in. This story follows an independent journalist named Miles Upshur who received an email from a whistleblower, Waylon Park, who worked at Murkoff Psychiatric Systems: Mount Massive. The hospital was supposed to be run as a charity, offering help to those who could not pay, or for those who other hospitals wouldn't accept. However, things weren't as they seemed and Murkoff was using the hospital as a cover for a laboratory where they were performing experiments on humans. The end result of such experiments was the creation of Project Walrider, a bio-nanite parasite that lives inside a human body. Miles stumbles into the facility during a security breach and riot. He manages to survive the night but in doing so becomes infected with the nanites, becoming the new host for Project Walrider. The Aftermath of Mount Massive is about Miles coming to terms with what being the Host means for both his humanity and future. Content Warning: This fic contains blood, gore, cannibalism, a suicide attempt, mild body horror, and language. If you are sensitive to any of those things I suggest not reading. Alan's POV: Like the last one they are trapped in the Outpost with Daniel and Alan, they have to find a way out of here, lucky an rescue team founded their location and saved them, they where immediately transported to an station where they where at the headlines, until an explosion interrupted them and they are left running out an into the chaos above, can one of them survive long enough to stand against the odds. Kreekcraft's POV: Kreek after done recording his video took a break and comforted Kalya who is panicking against how the uprising is closing in on their country. Kreekcraft also has been wondering why isn't Timmeh out and playing he hasn't been online for like 2 months XD. Kreek then founded out the truth. Turns out Timmeh is planning ahead of time, he is designing a giant mech like kaiju thingy on low budget to defend the land at least. Could this be the answer to the end of the chaos.
