When an aggressive alien invasion threatens Earth, ancient tiki-faced guardian Gosei and his clumsy robotic assistant Tensou recruit six extraordinary teenagers in Harwood County: disciplined leader Troy Burrows, tech genius Noah Carver, charismatic athlete Jake Holling, fierce martial artist Gia Moran, nature-loving cyclist Emma Goodall, and shy musical prodigy Anna Rivers. Granted Power Cards and elemental morphing abilities, the teens become the Power Rangers Megaforce to protect humanity. As the insidious villain Vrak engineers biomechanical horrors across the city, the Rangers unlock the legendary Robo Knight and discover the ancient Wild Sword to achieve Ultra Mode. Heartbreak strikes when Vrak abducts Anna, placing her under an insidious dark spell to become the ruthless Queen of the Armada, testing Troy's leadership and romantic devotion. Soon after breaking the trance through unyielding love, the Warstar Empire's primary Armada arrives under the erratic Prince Vekar. Gosei grants the team Super Megaforce Morphers and Legendary Ranger Keys, allowing them to access the historic powers of every past Ranger team. Joined by Orion, a vengeful alien survivor from the ruined world of Andresia, the Rangers confront Vrak's apocalyptic planetary drills and Emperor Mavro's personal armada, proving that Earth's defenders will never surrender.
