When the Silence Answered

Gab was good at putting feelings into words just not when those feelings were his own.

He could turn a quiet moment into a song, a memory into lyrics, and a few simple words into something that could make anyone feel understood. But when it came to Liza, every word suddenly seemed impossible to say.

Liza was everything people admired. Kind, intelligent, beautiful, and effortlessly easy to be around. To her, Gab was simply someone who became a little more important than an ordinary friend.

They laughed together. Stayed together. Shared little moments that meant nothing to one person and perhaps a little too much to the other.

Neither of them ever asked what those moments meant.

Maybe they were just friends.

Maybe they were becoming something else.

Or maybe some feelings are only understood by the person brave enough to admit them.

As days pass, silence begins to grow between them. Words remain unsent. Feelings stay hidden. And somewhere between friendship, jealousy, and the fear of losing someone, Gab has to decide whether to keep everything inside or finally let his heart speak.

Because sometimes, the person standing beside you has no idea that they are the reason you keep writing.
