"Wait seriously?! This is actually perfect Dad!" She was genuinely excited. She'd been saving money for months. With moving to Forks, her only mode of transportation would have been rides from Charlie, and riding around in a police car was not her version of fun. And this truck was actually great. The color was an eyesore, but it was big, and sturdy, and she just knew it'd be dependable. She got inside and Jacob showed her everything, clearly excited to show off his handiwork. She caught her Dad's eye and the warmth for her in them. Happy that she was happy.
And she just knew. That whatever the future held for her, what she /knew/ the future held for her. She would not regret coming here. This was home. She didn't care what her visions had been showing her since she was 11. They can go fuck themselves. Because this was her home. This was her father. And this was her life. She would live it how she chooses to live it. Not some fucked up version of the future, a fucked up version of her that she saw in her visions. No. This was her life and she was going to embrace it to the fullest.
