Seraphine has spent her life carrying the weight of a legendary name.
As the daughter of Sir Lancelot, she was raised on stories of honour, courage, and the fallen glory of Camelot. But Seraphine has no desire to simply become another version of her father. With her loyal deerhound, Valor, at her side, she travels the old roads as a wandering knight, protecting those who need her while discovering what honour means on her own terms.
When Seraphine arrives in the quiet lakeside village of Avelune, she expects nothing more than a place to rest. Instead, she discovers that swords have been mysteriously disappearing in the night.
Her investigation brings her into the path of Rowan, a clever and infuriating young traveller with an unusual knowledge of Camelot's forgotten history. He seems determined to involve himself in Seraphine's investigation-and even more determined to challenge her at every opportunity.
But something ancient is stirring beneath Avelune's lake.
As Seraphine and Rowan follow the trail of the missing swords, they uncover the spirit of a forgotten knight, a promise Lancelot failed to fulfil, and a secret hidden beneath a ruined chapel for generations.
There, Seraphine discovers a mysterious map marked with seven locations, six forgotten knights, and her father's crest.
Beside the first location are three words written in Lancelot's own hand:
Find the others.
The mystery of Avelune may be solved, but Seraphine's journey is only beginning-and this time, she may not be travelling alone.
