Between Us

Not every story begins with love. Some begin with animosity.

Marcus was never the kind of student teachers wanted to have trouble with. A wild child with a reputation as a rebel, always getting into trouble and raised in an orphanage. He keeps people at a distance and is definitely not looking for anyone who might bridge that gap.

Vincent is his complete opposite. Quiet, shy, and rather withdrawn. He doesn't like being the center of attention, and it's definitely easier for him to listen to others than to start a conversation. For years, he's lived only with his mother, who has been raising him alone ever since his father abandoned their family.

Their paths cross during a history class when the teacher announces a project and pairs up the students.

Marcus ends up paired with Vincent.

And he's definitely not happy about it.

They were just supposed to do the project, pass the class, and go back to their own worlds.

But the time they spend together makes it harder and harder to pretend there's nothing between them.
