Layover

Finn Thompson has finally landed the job he's dreamed of since he was little. At twenty years old, the Newcastle-born cabin crew member is ready to leave his northern hometown behind, see the world and begin the life he's always wanted with Virgin Atlantic.

A week-long layover in Singapore is supposed to be nothing more than an exciting first step in his new career.

Then he meets Rudy Olden.

The twenty six year old First Officer is everything Finn isn't - confident, refined, independent and effortlessly charming. He's also known throughout the crew for one thing, he doesn't do relationships.

What starts as harmless flirting quickly becomes something neither of them expected. But with thousands of miles between home and reality, a few drinks, and the intoxicating freedom of a layover, Finn begins to wonder whether what they're feeling is simply a work romance...

Or something neither of them can leave behind when the aircraft finally lands back into Manchester.

Because sometimes, the person you meet halfway around the world can change the direction of your entire life.
