A 20 year old boy, restricted by the responsibility to look after his addicted parents, had enough.

And for the first time in his life he stood up for himself.

Leaving behind the life he knew, the responsibilities that he took on from a very young age, and the pains of what happened to him behind the doors of this worn-down house.

But the one thing that he missed was his mom's early pregnancy at that time.

He was blinded by pain and struggled to notice such tiny details as the slight weight gain of his mother, unaware of even having a sibling, let alone a little girl.

For the first 10 years of her life, she endured the same hardships he did.

Her small, bruised hands tried their best to help her parents, but one day the school staff noticed something unusual in her behavior.

Worried, they contacted the authorities, who carried out a surprise home inspection, only to be devastated by the conditions a young child was living in.

Within a day, Elara was placed in their custody, where she soon discovered she had a brother.
