Apollonia had spent her whole life dreaming of Greece.
She wanted the blue waters of the Aegean, the ancient temples, the wine, the myths, and the feeling of standing in the same places where gods and heroes had once been worshipped. What she didn't expect was for one reckless night at the Acropolis to end with her falling through darkness and waking in a world that should have been dead for thousands of years.
Ancient Greece is not the beautiful fantasy she imagined.
The gods are real. The myths are not always stories. The people around her are dangerous, devout, curious, and completely unprepared for a woman like her.
And Apollonia is beginning to realize that she may not have arrived by accident.
Something in the water recognizes her. Something ancient has been waiting for her. And the longer she remains in this world, the harder it becomes to tell where the girl ends and something far older begins.
From the healing waters of the Tiber, a girl was reborn.
Now, caught between history and myth, Apollonia must discover why the gods brought her here, and what they intend to make of her.
