A Brighter Tomorrow Book 4: When the Lotus Burns

Aveline Lotus has spent years learning that she cannot save everyone. War is about to make her forget.
For the first time, Aveline's life feels balanced. She has found her place at U.A. She has become Aurelia. Her relationship with Katsuki has finally become something neither of them needs to pretend isn't happening. Eri is healing. Her family is thriving.
And then the warning signs begin.
Emergency supplies move quietly across Japan. Hero agencies prepare behind closed doors. The Lotus Foundation activates contingency plans. Aveline's father begins preparing for a disaster he refuses to name. War is coming.
When it arrives, every member of the Lotus family answers in their own way. Alexander raises his Golden Bastion. Amaryllis tends the wounded. Corvan holds vital infrastructure together. Seraphine guides frightened civilians. Declan finds his own place in the fight. Even young Evangeline discovers that helping others doesn't require running toward danger.
But Aveline's greatest strength may become her greatest weakness. Ethereal Lotus allows her to attack, defend, rescue and heal. And when people begin dying around her, every casualty becomes another reason to keep going-even when her hands shake, her Quirk begins failing, and Katsuki begs her to understand that Aveline is a person worth saving too.
The lotus has survived every storm. Now it has to survive the fire.
