What Remains of Tomorrow

Miswritten 1: What Remains of Tomorrow

Minerva Consunji has always been the golden child. Goal-oriented, obedient, and is determined to make her parents proud. With every achievement, the expectations surrounding her slowly grew. No one ever pressured her to always be on top; they just simply expected her to be.

Until one day, she ran out of herself.

Years of chasing expectations, meeting constant criticisms, and trying to be the daughter everyone wanted slowly took its toll. Minerva finds herself burned out, questioning the life she once thought she wanted and wondering who she is without the achievements that defined her.

Then she meets Roscoe Velasquez, a BS Civil Engineering student who carries his own share of expectations. Constantly pushed by his parents to succeed, Roscoe knows what it feels like to live under the weight of a future someone else has planned for him.

Two people who are both exhausted from trying to become who everyone expects them to be find each other.

And perhaps, somewhere between their broken plans and uncertain tomorrows, they might learn how to write a future of their own.
