From the Battle of Manhattan to Gaea's rising, there's been some hard clean ups. So with all this destruction going on, Mr. D  thought "HEY! We should get some of the stupid kids to make a cleaning crew. I personally think Peter Johnson would be perfect..." So, with that in mind, Camp Half Blood widened the idea. There's us.
