The Ashbourne Years

For Evander Ashbourne, Hogwarts has always been more than a school.

It is where he found his closest friends, discovered his place on the Quidditch pitch, grew up alongside his siblings, and slowly began figuring out who he wanted to become. As a Slytherin from a close-knit pure-blood family, Evander has never cared much for the expectations that come with his name. He has his own path to follow-and for the most part, he is perfectly content with it.

Then fourth year begins.

A year-long assignment pairs Evander with Amelia Carter, a stubborn and outspoken Gryffindor who seems determined to disagree with him about everything. Neither of them expects to become friends, let alone something more.

But Hogwarts has a way of changing people.

Between Quidditch matches, friendships, family moments, rivalries, unexpected challenges, and the little moments that stay with you long after they've passed, Evander's life begins to take on a shape he never quite expected.

And somewhere along the way, the girl he once couldn't stand becomes someone he can't imagine leaving behind.

Because growing up isn't always something you notice happening. Sometimes, you only realize how much you've changed when you look back at the person you used to be.
