In the rain-soaked streets of New Zion, a fugitive named Aki Yahweh is running from a secret government program that turned his life into an experiment.

Aki possesses a terrifying ability known as ZERO TIME-the power to freeze time itself. But every time he uses it, pieces of his memories begin colliding with moments from his past and glimpses of possible futures.

When the mysterious Directorate comes hunting for him, Aki discovers he isn't the only person connected to the experiments.

He joins forces with Maya "Mace" Washington, a fearless underground MMA fighter who can absorb and redirect kinetic force; Nia Carter, a former Project Echo prisoner who can phase through solid matter; Juno Reyes, a brilliant hacker capable of temporarily overclocking her mind; and Malik "Boomer" Price, a veteran fighter whose biggest weapons may be his experience, attitude, and questionable sense of timing.

Together, they uncover the truth behind PROJECT ECHO.

What begins as a search for answers becomes a journey through hidden laboratories, underground fight clubs, government black sites, temporal weapons, forgotten memories, and possible futures.

Aki learns that Project Echo may not have created his power.

It may have awakened something that was already inside him.

And the deeper he digs, the more disturbing the truth becomes.

The Directorate's mysterious leader, Director Adrian Vale, isn't simply trying to capture Aki. He wants Aki to remember.

Because Aki's memories are connected to Maya's.
