Chapter 1

Albus stared out of the train carriage window as The Hogwarts Express pulled out of Platform 9 3/4. He fought back the tears that were trying to crawl down his cheeks as the image of his mum, dad and sister waving goodbye disappeared into the distance.
"Is baby Albus missing mummy already?" teased James. James was Albus's brother and had been at Hogwarts for a year. James was in Gryffindor and he was a Beater for the Quidditch team. He was also known as the school joker and this meant that everyone knew who he was. However, everyone knew who James was before he even went to Hogwarts because he was one of Harry Potter's sons. James loved the attention that came with being a Potter but Albus sometimes wished his family wasn't so famous.
"I'm not crying!" Albus replied defensively.
"You will be when they put you in Slytherin," James replied.
"Leave him alone, James" interrupted Rose (Ron and Hermione's daughter and therefore James and Albus's cousin.)
After a few minutes of James continuing to tease Albus, a blonde boy asked if he could sit with them. It was Scorpius Malfoy. Scorpius was Draco's son and looked like a miniature version of his father. Rose made space for him to sit down but James gave him a dirty look.
"I assume your hoping to get into Slytherin then." James said bitterly.
"It would be great to be in the house that my parents were in but my father tells me that Gryffindor has produced some great wizards too." said Scorpius trying to be nice. James ignored him and started reading his muggle book about a maze, but Rose blushed as she started a conversation with Scorpius. Albus watched and listened. Rose was asking him questions but you could tell she wasn't really listening to his answers. Instead she stared wide eyed at his face. She thought he looked great with his blonde hair and emerald green eyes. Rose definitely fancied him. And so did Albus...
