When her family decides to spend the summer in Mexico for the World Cup, Laura is excited to return to a country that has always been a part of her family's story. There's just one problem: she knows absolutely nothing about soccer.

Then she meets Brian.

Their encounter is completely accidental, but the more time they spend together, the more they realize they have in common.

They both grew up with Mexican parents. They were raised in major cities. They understand what it feels like to balance their family's culture with the lives they've created for themselves.

For Laura, Mexico was supposed to be a family trip.

For Brian, the World Cup was supposed to be about soccer.

Neither of them expected to find each other.

And maybe the girl who knows nothing about the sport will become the person who makes him see his world differently.
