Nola believes her life is over, her crackhead of a mother gave her and her younger sister away to her father. A serious change occurs in this process Nola is moved from Chicago to sunny Miami. During the summer they stay in a beautiful house on the beach with her fathers new wife and kids. Her new step sister Serenity literally hates her but being who she is she could care less. Her goal is to stay here graduate and leave with her sister in follow, she has no intention of meeting anyone or falling in love. Until, she is hit by cupid himself Jameek Ryder who turns her world upside in a matter of a few week.
