The time, summer of 1967. The setting, the Vietnam War is raging and the women's liberation movement is just getting off the ground. A new movement in music is beginning, all coalescing at the Monterey Pop Festival. The Monkees are trying to hit the bigtime and they find some new friends and lovers to help them face their future. The Monkees have become a more successful band. They've got a lucrative six-month contract at a nightclub, and now they've got a steady following and even groupies. Micky has become a groupie gatherer, but now he's got his eye on one special lady, Gabby. She's not interested in becoming just another conquest. She's been through that before. Will Micky be able to woo her? Mike and Peter are luckier. Gabby's friends are just right for them and their romances make contented men of them both. Davy struggles with changing his horndog ways after he faces a huge crisis in his life. With the help of a good woman, he might just make that transformation. In this film, I am rekindling my romantic attachment/marriage with him with the Chipettes singing, ''Because of You," almost every night, because the more often they sing that song, the closer we are to each other. One day, Duchess Bettina of Harmonica (you know her from the Monkees episode, "Royal Flush."),who is now queen and married to Ringo Starr of the Beatles, is no longer afraid of anything, because of the guards that protect her and her husband, assigns Davy as her Secret Equestrian Agent and Damsel in Distress Rescuer. She is also a mother to him, since his real one has passed away from epysema. Her wicked uncle, Archduke Otto and his henchman, Sigmund have escaped from prison again and teamed up with a wicked witch named Madame Montpierre and planned to get their revenge on Davy by destroying every damsel in distress on Earth before Davy could get to them and tormenting him until he cried. The Archduke destroyed every damsel in distress, except for one: me. When Davy tells me that I am the last damsel in distress on Earth, he says that we must protect each other from the wicked Archduke, the witch Madame Montpierre, and Sigmund before they destroy me and give him permanent misery in order to rule the world. Will Davy be able to protect me and himself from all evil in order to keep the world happy for all of eternity or will he be sad forever because I was destroyed by the three villains and he was the last good person on Earth?
