This is one of my favorite pieces I have ever written. It is basically a dedication to a woman I adored in high school by the name of a Vanessa Hill. The story behind the song is after school before a basketball I stopped by subway to get something quick not knowing Vanessa , the girl that I adored who graduated 2 years before me worked there. I walked in trying my hardest to play it cool in front of her since I didn't think she knew I existed until she enthusiastically shouted Jaye Newton as I walked in and proceeded to tell me how she was a fan of my music while also giving me a free sub . That was a very pivotal moment to me. As a token of my appreciation I decided to write this .

"thanks!" I called out to the girl behind the counter of Starbucks. I was about to sit down when I heard someone walk in. their voice sounded so familiar. I looked up from my seat and seen a girl walk in and head towards the counter. She looked up and smiled at him, he was tall and had Dark hair with blue eyes. I couldnt help but stare at how beautiful this girl was , and how oddly familiar she looked. it wasn't until she turned around when the girl behind the counter called out her name that was written on the cup. I jolted up and my Very Berry Hibiscus refresher went all over the floor. Everyone looked at me, but the only person I was staring at was the girl in front of me, only a few feet away.
