Miles Burendeli developed something in his early years. An ability so rare and so precious, that when tampered with, it could have the world come crashing down on you. Of course, who wouldn’t abuse an ability to make time pause and have you be the only person aware and moving? Glitches in the system seem to be happening more frequently, and as Miles tampers with the power more and more, it all falls apart.
He can’t seem to get rid of that pressure in his chest, or that god awful headache, and time seems to be permanently paused. Looking for answers, he sets out on a quest. What for? Well, he doesn’t quite know that himself.
Join Miles on his journey across the world looking for answers, and looking for a way out, alone. Or is he as alone as he thinks he is?

I wrote this for EVERYONE. To appeal to anyone that reads ANY genre. It combines almost all of them. It's an introduction to the Worlds of Within universe. When you get to the action parts (which doesn't take long) you should be invested enough to want to unravel the mysteries and enjoy its intrigue... The flood is raging. A terrifying, heartless mountain of water, swallowing the world . The tunnel networks? Of course, that won't save them. The forests? Like leaves in a breeze. The lookout towers and trade hubs? Gone. Washed clean. Every home, every last trace of what once was. Gamleon is the first to see it ... and survive. His mind is near collapse, his heart broken. He runs. What would YOU do? What could anyone do? Some scrape by in a mythological setting of beasts and medieval men. Cruel, literally cold-blooded Gorgon hordes enforce an absolute rule slithering in the tunnels beneath the feet of every kingdom. There is an isolated, forgotten place. A cavern, magnificent and vast, older than civilization. A place where the weird and the unwanted might ride out this cataclysm if Gamleon can stay alive long enough to get them there.. In this special place, something incredible, cut off from the outside, lurks. Something... you won't be ready for or ever expect. Gamleon, our weary adventurer, is a paradox: terrifying to some perhaps, yet his heart and intent is helpful, with a quiet dignity bordering on noble, intimidating and innately intelligent. (A disorder which cross wires his sight and hearing allowing him to see sound waves) But when a stranger comes to visit him on the anniversary of his family's tragic demise with new information, Christopher and his Uncle Will must agree to help the stranger find the last 3 missing clock pieces in exchange for said information. Barry's life
Two people fall in love in unlikely circumstances. They have a lot of psychological issues and mistrusts in the order of things to prevent them from finding themselves and each other. I am a reader of crime novels and hard science fiction almost exclusively, and yet this story, which I have been writing for a long time, is a love story, I can't explain it even to myself. The characters will have to work through hardship and evolve to be able to surrender to the magical things around them and the flow of the universe and the love of other people. This story still is a work in progress, it has holes and it is to be continued
