Scared, I was running for my life. I had to get out of here. The trackers would catch me if I stopped to rest, even for a second. My calf muscles were burning, but I had bigger problems on my mind. I tried to mask my scent so it would be harder to find me, but trying to do that only cost me valuable time I could have spent running. That lost time is the reason I almost got caught. For now, the only thought on my mind was to run.

I watched as he rubbed the back of his neck and turned around, walking away but stopping after a few steps and he turned around to face me, with a smirk on his lips, "With a face like yours, I wish I was blind." I've been called things and people have said some mean stuff to me but never did anything like that hurt as much as it did now. But why? Amelia Taylor, a girl living a hard life.
