Hurley Robertson is a normal 17-year-old kid growing up in North Carolina. He isn't the brightest kid but he is a great surfer. And everyone knows it. But when the new girl moves into town with her strange family, he starts to lose his game. Will he lose focus right before the Championship and throw everything away?
