Ages have passed, but no progress has been made; on the contrary, it seems like the future is nothing more than a replay of the medieval years, but so many times worse. Slavery, theft, prostitution, strict monarchy and death penalty is the everyday life of thousands of people.
But the destruction of the human race was rather predicted from the very beginning of its existence. What we never thought would happen was that all the bed-time stories our grandparents narrated so vividly, all the folklore that always seemed so absurd was always an inch away from us. Hidden in the shadows, all these monsters, demons, wizards and mythical creatures want to control the world that they were hidden from for hundreds of years... And, when a war between a corrupted race and supernatural creatures is just around the corner, an ordinary boy learns about the History that was kept secret. And then he gets chosen...
