I gulped. He couldn't possibly know.

I gasped.

"Know? Your good friend. Huh, who knew you would go to such lengths for someone to what do you phrase it? Oh yeah someone to 'catch me ' "  

The facade was up. 

"You can't tell Liv! And even if it was true I would've snagged you after I knew your interest in me."  

He pushed me against the wall gently. 

"This invested time you put in. Was it worth it?"

I sighed 

"I can-"

"NO please tell me how mind games to this extent makes you a good person. God you're like all the others. I actually thought you were different. That's why I've liked you for so long."  

My eyes bugged out. 

"Wait. What?!"

His eyes bugged out too. I guess he didn't want to admit that last part. But it was too late. The damage had been done and now we had to act responsibly to what we would do next. 

It wasn't something that I expected but I was relieved all the same

Couldn't you feel the sincerity within them, expressing my deep affection for you? Why didn't you see the love shining in them? Was it too complex to understand? Couldn't you notice the warmth as they gazed at you? They search for you in every corner, If only you realized how they silently echoed the emotions I couldn't articulate. I always felt like I didn't belong anywhere with him gone. It was even worse. It was pathetic that I thought it's okay I will get through this, but I am slipping away falling slowly. The only reason I am still holding on is for my family. But he hurts me, bullies me, breaks me in ways I can't even describe. He has become the worst nightmare, and I can't wake up from it. His friend said, wheezing a little bit and trying to stop laughing. I calmed down a bit, standing up to face them, a smile on my face. "Now, if you're done threatening me," I raise an eyebrow. "Or at least trying to. I'll be on my way." With that, I grabbed my backpack, turned my back to them, and walked away.
