Seventeen year-old Raya is a tester: hand-picked to secretly test powerful new inventions that mysteriously appear in an abandoned warehouse. None of the Testers know who controls the tech, but they know that governments and secret societies would kill to possess it. Testing is fun and consequence free until Raya's brother is killed in a horrific accident. Raya can't let go of her brother's death, so she begins to dig deeper. With the help of Dimitri, Raya searches for answers that have long been kept secret from the Testers. But what Dimitri and Raya don't realize, is that the answers they seek will put them in more danger than they've ever known.

This is so good!! The Price Of Ascendance

1 part Complete

Ark City, a city-ship of mammoth proportions, holds constant vigil over the metropolis of Sallustria. This marvel of technology is the home of Ascension, an organisation who have successfully engineered a procedure that unlocks the full potential of the human brain. All Sallustrian citizens undergo mandatory testing at age 21 to determine their viability and, if they find themselves among the lucky few successful candidates, are permitted access to the floating utopia. But Liz and Derek, two strangers thrust together on their 21st birthdays, are about to discover that the idyllic paradise comes with a cost, one that Ascension have neglected to publicise. What began as a day of celebration will end in a whirlwind of conspiracies and revelations that threaten to upend the very foundations of Sallustria forever.
