Mia Divanne lives in an unknown part of America, the Outside. It is 3,000 years into the future and America is made up of cruel people in the Inside. Along time ago, her family and a few others were sent to the Outside to ensure safety to the country. Mia and her family do not know what this means but Mia will set out on an adventure of danger and love with James Harthod, a boy from her colony, and she will find out. But is it really possible to travel from the Outside to the Inside? Most think it is impossible, and the Inside will do anything to stop the revolution, but Mia and James are willing to try.

Hannah is adopted by a Flawed family when her birth parents choose their social standing over their daughter and endures a life of struggle, hunger and service.
