She shook her head to try and clear her mind. He watched her in amusement. "Um sorry," she mumbled, "I think I'm hearing things." She laughed awkwardly, letting her eyes stray from his face and look at anything else she could possibly look at. "No you weren't," he corrected her. "You heard right." She lifted her head in surprise and he was already smirking. The glint in his eyes told her that he wasn't lying either. Her heart swelled and she bit her lip instinctively. He groaned. "Fuck Delilah don't do that," his eyes darkened as he admired her plump lips, waiting for the moment he could kiss them. {completed} I gulp as his hand tightens on my dress, "I didn't think this would be your sort of thing." I say glancing at him briefly. "You mean the classic New York galas? You do remember my parents I introduced you to a few months back right?" He tilts his head, teasing me. I roll my eyes, "no the slow dancing bit." I correct him. He leans closer, his lips hovering above my ear and I gulp again, "life's too short to not slow dance with the people you love." He leans back and I look away, I would have genuinely believed him if it weren't for this stupid believing lie we had conjured up. And I was the fool for shaking his hand. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ She lived up to her name, all things beauty and all things wild. She was an aspiring author, with a New York Best Seller under her but Belle's struggling to find the middle ground for her next book whilst riding the high of being on the list of best sellers. The pressure of having to write a second book causes her nothing but stress until she makes a deal with someone who shows her that life isn't about the deadlines but must lie to everyone she knows.Complete
