Aspiring business woman Gemma Stratton moves to Manhattan for one reason: To achieve her dream of becoming a successful business woman. With nothing but reaching her goal on her mind, she has no time for romance or other things that could potentially hinder her success. Unfortunately for her, fate has other plans when it decides to throw at her Blaise Ashford, soon to be CEO of the thriving financial company Ashford Financial Limited. Attractive, smart, goal-oriented, and for the most part sweet, Blaise Ashford is the man of every woman's dream.

Not able to help herself, Gemma falls for Blaise. Too bad for her, Blaise will not only be her future boss, but is also happily engaged to the woman of his dreams. Determined to not fall for her boss and to not let anything get in the way of her success, Gemma tries to suppress her feelings for this handsome multi-billionaire. However, despite her best efforts, Gemma couldn't help but become addicted to Blaise Ashford.
