What happens when you mix Japanese myth with Edgar Allen Poe? A contemporary re-telling of the "Snow Woman" (Yuki-Onna) from Japanese mythology...

"She looked at the crimson stain marring the indulgent cream of the downy-soft carpet. It doesn't look different, she thought, still thick, still red. And yet it made her so unlike everyone else that it frightened her. She shook her head and padded soundlessly along the carpeted hallway and into the bathroom to pick out the glass and wash away the thickening, coagulating blood which clung to her hands."
