Castiel Novak is a history and modern languages student at Kansas University, and lives a fairly lonely life in his small flat. His friend Dean Winchester is going through a bad breakup and Castiel, leaping at the opportunity for some company, offers to share the flat with him. After some time living together, they realise that they are starting to age.
Dean's brother, Sam, is engaged to Jess and his best friend Charlie is trying to avoid meeting her soulmate to achieve immortality.
