Quaero Salus: To Seek Salvation

Salvation. Those who wish to repent their sins must seek salvation. Heathens, that is what they are called. And that is what I am and what I am forced to be. I was born into a family of sinners. My father was a sinner, my mother was a sinner, their parents were sinners and so on and so forth. We did not question why or how this was destined. We simply accepted it and moved on. Sentenced to eternal damnation by the church, my ancestral heretic family died only leaving generations of sinners to come. My name is Ademi Aephlus and, by God's law, I am a sinner.

The Aephlus children only receive one chance to reach salvation. For to reach the heavens, we each must one by one take a journey to meet the eternal one: the only one who can grant the greatest of the sinners, salvation. I would be venturing into the unknown, to the other side of the world in order to achieve what my family has been wishing for, for the past 700 years.
