There was a pool of blood surrounded around me, growing. I could hear sirens nearing and people screaming all around me. Did I just get in a car crash? No, that stuff only happens to people on the news. I'm suppose to be at my hotel, enjoying the company of my family and scribbling in my diary, not lying in my own family's blood.
I want the noise to stop. I want the sirens to end and the screams to freeze. I just want to sleep...
I can see a warm, friendly light peering above my head. I try reaching for it, but every step I move toward the nice light, something pulls me down to cold, hard reality...

I wake up.... but "wake up" isn't right,waking up would require a bed, covers, a pillow. Instead I come to and I sit up, right away, a pounding headache bursts through me, it takes a while, but it passes. I look down my white dress, I see dry blood stains on it, but I can't find any injury. No one stopped to look. No one glanced in the alley I cried in. I was tired of this place, so tired of the endless days that stretched out before me. I scream twisting and turning trying to bite the man's arm. The man doesn't say much. The only thing I hear is his heavy breathing. He starts to shackle my ankles together as I lay a full blown kick into his face making him groan in pain holding onto his nose on top of the mask. "Help me, somebody!" I keep yelling as he kicks me in the stomach and takes out a clothed bag from his coat pocket putting it on my head covering my face. He ties it up from the back tightly making my neck feel pressured. "Please." I whimper. "You don't have to do this." I cry admitting defeat. "Night, night." I stopped struggling and looked into his eyes, seeing the pain and fear that I had caused him. I then looked down as I said, "I thought I'd make it easier for you." His face paled. "What do you mean?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper. I took a deep breath and confessed, "I never wanted you to fall in love with me." I say. He looked at me in shock, his grip on my shoulder loosening. "Why would you say that? Why would you think that would be easier for me?" he asked, his voice filled with confusion and hurt. I closed my eyes, unable to meet his gaze as I replied, "Because I don't deserve your love. I'm not who you think I am." He sat there in silence, processing my words. And then, without warning, he leaned in and kissed me softly on the lips. I pulled away, stunned by his action. "I don't care who you think you are. I love you, for you dumbass," he said.
