Despite the lack of sunlight and resources, we have done pretty well for ourselves. Thanks to our little team of runners. We go out and trade, barter, even steal the resources we need. Weapons, food, medicine, tools. Basically anything key to survival.
My family, the Ashley's, the Cross', and the Davis' live down here. By now we are all more like one big family. No boundaries. Just trust. Anything that it takes to help one another survive.
and right now, I need "him" more tha ever.
This story-scape is set in a futuristic United States. The government has failed and what is left of the US is now split into four areas, know collectively, the Former. However, this is a temporary fix to a growing problem. As hate sparks between the nations, a group called the Arrows must fight to bring them back together, or let everything perish. But the Arrows have some of their own things to deal with on top of saving the world

*wattys 2018 shortlist* *writer's awards sci-fi winner* It all started with an accident. Through vast consolidation begets a single empire bordering on the mere idea of war with an enemy threatening to destroy its entire existence, starting from the inside. Many call it tyranny, others, vengeful menace, but it's taking them down. One by one. A series of events follow, including a spy, a plan destined to fail and a desperate offer that puts everything on the line. She wasn't what they were hoping for. But they take what they can get. Once rejected by the place they called home, five estranged teens jump at the opportunity for an escape. Thrust into an unknown underwater society at random, it's a gamble for life and death, win or lose. Fast forward to friendship, rivalry, loyalty, borderline sorcery, and a second home that'll change their lives as they know it. But as the days grow by, and the game of cat and mouse breaks its final straw, blending in a world not meant for them is not as easy as it seems. Especially when you try to save a colony whilst saving yourself. *this story is/will be rewriting. Two states that a forbidden to enter. Difficult times. A quest for revenge, freedom, and supremacy. Problems arise. Deaths are unavoidable. Happiness is forgotten. Earth is under tyranny with very limited counties with freedom. Lies are the truth. The truth is erased. WWIV is 100% possible. The Earth stops rotating. Light and darkness is stuck on one spot for three months. Electricity is gone for three months. Is it God? Is it aliens? Is the Earth infected? Doesn't matter. By 2057, Earth will be a shadow of its former self. Decades of unbridled consumption and climate negligence have left the earth almost desolate. Water, oil, and lush land are relics of the past, valued more than money. All nations have collapsed under the weight of famine, disease, and internal upheaval, leaving only two superpowers: the United States and Russia. They were once reluctant allies but now find themselves embroiled in a deadly, global fight for the planet's few remaining resources. While the population fights to survive in enormous urban wastelands, both regimes use advanced technologies and covert tactics in a desperate push for absolute dominion. During the pandemonium, 17-year-old Caleb Morrow, a scrappy survivor from the ruins of Canada, is conscripted into the US military. Meanwhile, on the other side, Elena Morozova, an 18-year-old Russian conscript hailing from the ruins of Norway, ascends the ranks in the Russian military. As this conflict between the 2 last countries left spirals out of control, the past suddenly begins to rise from the ashes leaving questions to arise in the thoughts of many soldiers on both sides including Caleb and Elena that, if answered, reveals a dark and unsettling truth. The Art of Destruction
Humanity. It goes beyond the common definition of: "a collective group of humans". It's a sense of benevolence. One may act; 'for the sake of humanity' and there are; 'crimes against humanity'. We're supposed to be proud of the human race, yet... humans are self-destructive. A group of elite alien race came to Earth and proved once and for all that we were our own worst enemy. They weren't wrong. but it was too late. They managed to save Earth- eradicating pollution and reversing global warming but they killed anyone who got in their way and indoctrinated the rest. Those who remained revolted. World War III resulted- killing the planet. The War ended but the battle was not won. The fight continues on, despite the destroyed society and Earth we call home. It's a relentless fight between those who want the world to go back to the way it was and those who still fight to hold on to their humanity- no matter what. We self-destruct but we also fight for what's right. It's a delicate balance- it's an art form.
