     The dispute between Illirium and Utopium brings them to put the citizens' lives at risk. 
        
                 Sixteen-year-old Astrid Jacobs is sent to Illirium to find and steal the "Antielixir" - A serum that would drain Utopium, Astrid's home, of all its life force - that the Illiris have been developing. Her world changes when Astrid learns about Utopium, the truth beneath the distorted lies, her past and Matthias, an Illiri who brings her heart and her whole identity to the truth.
