I also edited the way the Outsiders took place so this fic isn't totally canon nor is the canon era completely compliant with history but I did do my research on the dumb things like paper plates. When they were apart, they started communicating through old walkie-talkies they found on the country grounds. After quite a while, the case became more serious, police searching everywhere, getting closer to their hiding area. Ponyboy and Johnny had no other choice, they had to travel upstate, risking their bond and possibly separating. It's also about Johnnyboy (Johnny and Ponyboy from The Outsiders) and I know Johnny dies in their world, but that's why this is an AU, where Johnny still lives and Ponyboy works at a hipster cafe and they're all about 6 years older. It's also not set in the 70/80s because I wasn't alive then and I'm too lazy to research those things. So, we have this. Set in the 2010s with mobile phones and latte art.
