She grew up in a world where being smart wasn't a choice, it was expected. Her family had big dreams for her, the kind that didn't leave room for mistakes. So she smiled, studied hard, and stayed on top. But deep down, she wanted something different. Something more her. And just when she thought she had it all under control, he showed up. He was brilliant, cocky, and impossible to ignore. Now it's a game of wins and losses. And she's not planning to lose.
Trapped in my own head
She is an outcast. She finds it easier to express what she feels in the form of writing. Whether it is poems, letters or long texts. These are poems that she writes trying to describe how it feels to live with certain mental health issues, in a world that disregards outcasts. So, these are on the darker side of the spectrum. Some poems might be distressing for some readers. I personally enjoy consuming dark content, it's kinda like a coping mechanism. I really hope none of you relate with any of these :) I'll be posting only poems here, I'll try to be as active as I can. The poems are not in any order. We Dream at Midnight (Ember 2)
Here she is. I can see the slope of her spine through that thin shirt. She's made of angles I ache to smooth with a hand, but I'd use my lips if she asked. I brush her knuckles with mine. Her skin is cold, but she flips her palm for more contact. I lace our fingers. It's enough to make her look at me. As those kaleidoscopic eyes meet mine, I hold my breath. Then she sets her lips just under my jaw. It rips the air from my lungs. It's the softest thing I've ever felt. "What was that for," I breathe.
