Water in Waiting (pirate short story)

This was my first ever short story entered as a contest. The author Colleen Houck gave the first three sentences and we had to come up with a short story under 600 words. Definitely harder than it sounds. I wanted to keep going and give Puck and Alice a life together. Anyway, if you read it you'll probably guess where I got my inspiration from.
