Despite fitting in easily at his new school, Alex McAdams has one bet to win to be popular and successful. The Bet is easy for him, it consists to charm a girl's heart followed by a special night.
But Blake Smith is not technically the girl to mess with, nor the girl who would fall for his shallow words nor get tempted easily. This whole bet will get complicated leaving impacts on both of them. Soon enough, the arrogant heartless boy will find himself a victim of his own game, craving the presence of his target who seems to hate him.
It all started with a bet which changed their whole lives, uncovering the veiled truths and secrets from their pasts. Everything started to make sense for them, even the ache in their hearts which started bleeding yet again. He would learn what made Blake so guarded, but also what made him so heartless.

There's no surprise why Isla has become some of the popular type at school- she loves being known by others. Julian Hayes isn't a loner. No- far from it- he has a group of friends he plays baseball with and surf during the summer. He has family that he is known to hang out with. Finishing off her Junior year of high school, her school offers resources to go on a trip with teenagers like her. Travel for Teens isn't a new concept but it is for the small town of South Carolina. At this opportunity, the group of people jump at the chance to get out and do something new which will no doubt be fun. It was supposed to be fun for Julian as well but after plans abruptly change and thousands of dollars that cannot go to waste, he finds himself alone at the trip. Sure, he can go out and socialize with teenagers especially since they're ones from his school but he finds himself isolated from the group. The teens throw a big party at the house during the end of the trip. The small leads to a boring night at the end. The teens find themself playing little games to occupy time. (To be honest, I wasn't thinking about writing a part two until I reread the first books and saw how it ended!) This book is mostly about Alexis's journey. Continuing the path of Alexis and Mason's relationship, discovering Alexis, and so much more. Remember Mason Steele, the bad boy? He made a bet with his friend, Blake, to fall in love & do rebellious things throughout the bet to prove his characteristics. After Alexis had a mental breakdown after finding out there was a bet happening involving her in it, she ended up ending things at a awkward place with Mason. They've been having a roller coaster relationship/friendship. Now that Alexis is recovering from her anxiety attack, Mason visits her back at her place to see if she's okay, talking to her, confessing everything about him. The conversation ends where Mason tries to ask for her to forgive him for everything that's happened but Alexis was overwhelmed and didn't know what to do.
