"For years now the Humans have been at war. Not with each other. No. We've found a new enemy. We first found out about the UnNaturals when they were in a war of their own. We of course had to get involved. They took many of us prisoners and for centuries we were slaves to the Vampyres after they won the UnNaturals War, but we became free when we fought in the War of the Damned, with help of the Witches and Lycans. But those once so important and depended on alliances have been forgotten. No one cares that we once needed each other so desperately. Now that the Vampyres have fallen and are weak, we go after each other instead." - Excerpt from UnPure Leena finds herself in a constant battle with not only herself, as she tries to deal with the haunting memories of her past, but with everyone around her as she attempts to help lead others like her to freedom. Along side her is Eric, the man who has helped her understand that in an era of darkness light can still be found, but he's dealing with secrets of his own. Then comes Kellan. An arrogant Lykan who seems to make Leena question everything about herself, but like everyone else he, too, is not as innocent as he may try to seem. Plus there's Mia, a girl who is drowning in her own pit of sorrow and darkness and losing her mind as the shadows literally reach out to her. Add in bloodthirsty beings and sick, twisted Pures endlessly trying to capture and torture you, and then you have Leena, but the darkness around her is not the biggest issue, no it's the evil inside her that threatens to destroy her and everyone she loves.
