After Twilight-sparkle defeated Nightmare Moon, leaving the little luna that everyone loved behind Luna's been having Nightmares that Nightmare Moon will come back.
While dealing with that issue a new alicorn comes to town except she isn't a princess. Now taken in by Celestia Luna and this new mare becomes quick friends.
Luna will soon find out she's not Celestia's only little sister and nor is she the only dark magic user at the palace. Meanwhile Nightmare Moon teams up with a threat that could destroy all of Equestria

Twilight Sparkle and her friends travel to the Crystal Empire for her first princess summit. Twilight feels both nervous and excited about the event and is self-conscious about wearing her crown. However, her friends are supportive as always. When they meet with the other princesses, Celestia notices how tired Twilight and her friends look after their journey and sends all eight of them off to bed. Later that night, a cloaked unicorn sneaks into the castle and steals Twilight's crown. The next morning, Princess Celestia identifies the thief as Sunset Shimmer, her former student. The princesses explain that the mirror from which Sunset Shimmer escaped is a gateway to an alternate world and task Twilight with going into this other world to retrieve her crown. Little does she know, she will encounter her friends once again. What adventures await Twilight in this alternate world?
