Chad is the hottest, most dangerous and the most mysterious boy at Windsfield High. He walks around with his swept hair at just the right angle and huge headphones that are pounding music in to his ears. Lilacs mom works at a radio station and one day asks for Lilac to cover for her because she has to bring lilacs little brother to the doctors. Once on the air Lilac gets a phone call that reveals some truth about Chad. As it turns out, everyday after school for the past year, Chad has called the exact radio station Lilac's mom works at to talk about himself. The only way Chad could cope with his hard going life was to talk on the air with Lilac's mother. Once Chad starts revealing some truth about himself Lilac realizes that it could be her only chance to get closer to him and maybe start a relationship, she can't bring herself to tell Chad that's it's not her mother who is talking to him.
