Kade has to try to cope with loosing the person that was supposed to be her partner for life while fighting a war she had no choice in. When her long time rival Will Herondale, son of Clary and Jace, takes an interest in her she also has to fight a connection that could could put her heart in jeopardy, because if there's anything Kade can't take any more of, its heartbreak.

Okay this is two years in to the future picking up off of where 'Letters From the Shadow World'. Simon and Izzy are still in a long distance relationship. Clary is still struggling with depression witch has only gotten worse to her parabatai's disappointment. Jace and Adele have been dating for a year and a half now. Isabelle has been sending updates once a month to the New York City Institute. She has pushed Clary in her training in between visits with Tessa Grey even though Clary has nearly stopped hunting completely. Isabelle has pushed Clary so hard in her training that she has became the best shadowhunter her age. Ranking first over all the girls and guys her age. I obey, sensing a very wrong and dangerous vibe from her. She continues, "I am Ms. Smith but you will call me madam." I reply, "And I am Clar-" "I know who you are if not why would I have summoned that demon to kidnap you," she interrupts, glaring at me. I am shocked, why would this lady kidnap me. I am completely perplexed. She must have seen it on my face because she says, "You killed Jonathan Morgenstern when all he did was love you. I HATE YOU. If you weren't there he would have loved me. Now I will take your loved ones away from you." I am just about to reply when she sends electrifying green sparks towards me which make me lose consciousness. When you leave this house it will be the day of your sixteenth birthday again but this time Simon won't remember you and neither will your other friends especially your lover, Jace. If you get close to them then they will all die after a year. No other warlock can reverse this spell." Clary gets cursed one night by a certain vengeful warlock. That one night turns her whole world upside down. She has no one to trust, to depend on, to love. Will she survive this like she survived everything else or will she lose herself along the way? On top of that horrible sundae of a life there's a cherry of danger to top it off. More and more problems pile up on her plate and she is burdened with all of it.
