I don't remember much about before the blackout, mainly a protective Uncle in the army and the taste of ice cream. I live in a village with my brother Danny and my dad Ben. Life has always been hard for me. I don't fit in because I hunt, instead of going to school like the other teens, and I protect my brother Danny from the Monroe militia and his asthma attacks. I don't get along with my father we have different opinions on EVERYTHING, except, that Danny is the only thing that matters.

The Revelation
In the beginning, there was death. The darkness flows from hues of purple and orange, the moon rising to kiss the sun's rays one last time as the darkest cloud of night I've ever seen falls over our tiny haven. I catch Will's face from the side of my vision and my heart tightens slightly. The tick of his jaw wouldn't be noticeable for anyone but me. His best friend, his lifeline.
